I tried to make a glossy showcase track as a mix between Daft Punk, Wham and Bruno Mars wrapped in a early Pet shop boys sound.
Took ages to get the busy bass-line the right way. Originally I had the lead vocals vocoded too, but decided to mix between straight vocals and vocoded ones. Sometimes they even blend together.

Synths used on the track is: Roland JX-8P for bass. Synths from the Roland Alpha Juno 2 and Yamaha TX802. Synthbrass (not stabs) is Korg DW-8000. Drums is the Roland Tr-626 and R-8. Overdubbed with some Simmons toms and some claps off the EMU ESI4000 sampler. Brass-stabs is also from the EMU, but is originally from my Korg Wavestation AD.

Vocals are recorded with the AKG D5 dynamic mic. Vocoder is from Novation MiniNova also recorded with the D5.
